Kinda sooty for roasting marshmallows, but that's the tradeoff for those bright yellow flames, worth it

Took this little campfire to the Canada trip with us during the fire ban and everyone loved it. I used to carry the 20 in fire pit with lava rocks that took a lot of space. No more space problem with the Tripod torch.

This year, we decided not to take our big propane firepit with us while we traveled. It simply took up too much room for the little that we enjoyed it. Then, we ran into your company at an 'Overland' event in Redmond, OR. I didn't buy one that day, but it stuck in my head that it was an awesome solution. So, a month later, I went online and ordered one.

Right now, we're camping in a State Park in Oregon that has a burn ban. So propane firepits are the only way to have a campfire. The first night that we used it, the park rangers came by because our fire was so bright that it was catching attention. They agreed that it was legal and were impressed by its simplicity. We've been using it every night now (even though the burn ban is off). People stop by our campsite every night to ask what it is and how to get one. So, not only is it giving us a great, warm fire - but it's also helping us to meet new people and make friends.

Love it! Soooo compact and great for those times when there is a "Fire-Ban" I also see using this in the winter time, so I would like UPGRADED wider stance legs with fatter feet for those snowy/softground/sandy areas... THAT would be an AWSOME upgrade! Fingers Crossed!

Awesome product

The team at Tripod Torch was fantastic—super responsive and even covered the cost of overnight shipping so I’d have my torch in time for a camping weekend. That kind of service is rare these days and really appreciated.

As for the product itself, in my opinion it delivers the most authentic “campfire” experience I’ve seen—great flame, ambiance, and perfect when fire bans are in effect but you still want that campfire vibe.

That said, it doesn’t put out the same level of heat as propane fire pits with lava rocks. If warmth is your top priority, there are better options. But if you’re after the campfire feel without the smoke (and without the risk), this is the way to go.

The tripod torch worked great. I really liked the stakes to pin it down. Was nice to have a flame to sit around since a state wide burn ban prohibited a wood fire.

I was totally expecting that it would be smaller but as a perfect size and it actually gives off good heatI would totally recommend it. Girlfriend likes it.

I ordered the tripod torch 3 weeks before going to Colorado for a week long overland trip. USPS lost my package at no fault of Tripod Torch... however, Jake still took it upon himself to rush a 2nd tripod torch to me before I left on my trip. I used the tripod torch for the entire week in Colorado and it worked amazing! Camp would have been a lot less fun without sitting around the fire at night. Thanks to Tripod Torch for a great product and even better customer service!
